Welcome to the very first edition of Pendour Pulse!
We’re delighted to share our debut newsletter with you, our Pendour Pals. Join us as we mark Ostara - the Spring Equinox - with lengthening days, blossoming trees, and of course a touch of Pendour!
Ostara marks the moment when day and night stand in balance. A gentle turning towards the light, renewal and new beginnings. It feels like the perfect moment to introduce the first issue of Pulse, our quarterly journal celebrating culture, travel and considered living.

We may have seemed a little quiet on social media this Season. Behind the scenes much has been unfolding - we've published our very first artist’s book and established Pendour Pulse. We’re also delighted to share that Pendour has begun its very own art collection, more on this shortly.
Bringing into being what once existed only as thoughts, ideas, and notes scrawled in the margins of notebooks has been a challenging and rewarding journey. Over the past months we’ve refined our goals, clarified our identity and shaped the direction we hope Pendour will continue to grow into.
In many ways, this feels like the continuation of a cycle that began in 2025 - a process of quiet growth and careful planting. Creating Pulse has long been an ambition, and it feels especially fitting to welcome its first edition with the arrival of Spring. And isn’t Ostara a beautiful word with which to begin?
My hope is that each edition of Pulse will become something to look forward to - another star twinkling in the night sky, another seashell along the shore, another flower blooming in your garden.
We have so much to share with you. Let’s begin!
📜 PENDOUR CULTURE

For this Season’s pairing we bring together Wave’s plastic-free phone cases and charging cables with Brice Marden’s painting Study for the Muses (Hydra Version).
Utilising wheat straw, rather than polluting plastic, Wave is making more than just ripples when it comes to rethinking our reliance on plastic! The pear-drop shades of their colourful cases seem to echo the colours in Marden’s painting. Not only do the wavy lines give the impression of ripples on the surface of moving water but correlate to Wave’s bio-based, eco-friendly charging cables.

🌹Looking ahead to Litha, the Summer Solstice, we’ll be catching up with abstract painter Helen Leaver ahead of her exhibition at The Square Club in Bristol. Expect lyrical paintings inspired by delicate rose flowers with meditative influences. 🌺
We also hope to make a return visit to Fritton Hall, with more Pendour Pairings and sustainable product reviews along the way – just in time for festivals, weddings and much deserved summer holidays! 🌞🌻
